1902-02-05: Final Fate: Op reis met een lading petroleum van Philadelphia naar Antwerpen kreeg de ‘BREMERHAVEN’ in zware Oost-Zuid-Ooster storm op de Atlantische Oceaan een lek aan de achtersteven. Zij moest op 5 februari 1902 in positie 48°28’NB. en 29°52’WL. in zinkende staat worden verlaten en ging verloren, de 32 opvarenden van de ‘BREMERHAVEN’ werden allen gered door het Britse SS ‘ANSELMA DE LARRINAGA’.
