Ship Events Data

1943-09-22: Overgenomen door de Nederlandse regering in Londen, in bareboatcharter van de U.S. War Shipping Administration. Aanvankelijk BOSBOOM.

1943-09-29: Vertrek vanuit Portland (USA) van het ss. 'Fort Orange', het eerste Liberty-schip van de Nederlandse regering, naar Boston onder kapitein. H.W. Lohr. De 'Fort Orange' werd midden 1943 op stapel gezet bij de 'East Yard' van de New England Shipbuilding Corp. te Portland. In het kader van het 'Ship Replacement Program' werd het schip aan Nederland toegewezen als compensatie voor de reeds geleden scheepsverliezen. De 'Fort Orange' zal in juni 1944 nog worden ingezet bij de invasie in NormandiŽ voor het vervoer van militair materieel.

1946-10-00: Zou worden herdoopt in ERASMUS.

1967-03-11: Final Fate: Op reis Tampa-Porto Alegre op de kust van Rio Grande do Sul aan de grond gelopen in de positie van 30.31 ZB - 50.20 WL. Berging later mislukt en total loss verklaard.
