Fairplay, June, 12th, 1952: The Panamanian s.s. NICOLAOS A (ex-ALGORAB), two decks and shelterdeck, 4,979 tons gross, 3,010 tons net, carrying about 8,940 tons deadweight on a draft of 26 ft. 3 in., built by the Deutsche Werft A.G., Hamburg in 1921, S.S. in 1947, fitted for oil fuel, steam turbine, DR geared to screw shaft, by Allgem. Elekt. Ges., and owned by the Nangelo Shipping Company S.A. (Faros Shipping Company Ltd.), London, has been sold to the British Iron and Steel Corporation (Salvage) Ltd., Londen, and has been designated to the Blyth yard of Hughes Bolckow Shipbreaking Company Ltd., for breaking up. |
